Note - while we have this site listed for RV's, tent campers who would like water and electrical hookups are welcome to use the site in that manner. Be aware that the site is fine gravel so if tent camping you'll want sleeping pads. Two tents per site, please!

• Water and 30/50amp electrical hookup provided. 20'x40' gravel pad includes picnic table and fire ring with grill. Sites are well spaced, private feeling, and you can hear rushing Talladega Creek in the canyon accessible via a nearby trail.

Upscale bathhouse with private restroom stalls and endless hot showers close by.

Bohamia is a 268 acre private forest retreat surrounded by 400,000 acres of the Talladega National Forest. You'll feel like a world away even though you are about an hour's drive from Birmingham and Atlanta. Bohamia is best explored on foot or bicycle (or kayak in the case of our pond and nearby Talladega Lake). We have miles of marked trails and many unmarked trails for adventurous types. We also have marked trail access to off-property gems like Talladega Creek.

All sites allow at least one vehicle to park nearby unless otherwise noted. In many cases you can have two vehicles by your site, or can park in group areas nearby when not loading or unloading.

••• ENTRANCE NOTES••• Please read carefully

The entrance to Bohamia is 1/4 mile of rough asphalt at a 30% grade followed by 1/2 mile of gravel roadway with grades up to 25%.

• Motorhomes should not have an issue with the driveway unless you have a low overhanging extension on it for bikes, kayaks, etc. Be aware that may drag a little on some of the gravel areas. We recommend against motorhomes pulling a trailer unless you have a four wheel drive Class B.

• PULL-BEHINDS: Please ensure you have an adequately powered tow-vehicle for your trailer. If your tow vehicle is poorly matched to your camper (right at tow capacity or less) then you may have issues on our driveway. Trucks and four wheel drive vehicles shouldn't have an issue. If you aren't sure, please contact us and we can discuss your situation.
